Rachel, I suppose a very determined chewer could get through the landware cloth, but it is certainly not mesh (which is used for repts). The material is a very firm plastic (vinyl?) that would take some effort to get through. If your gliders are c

I have debated doing a trio with sisters for quite some time... I have my first trio now and one of the sisters has her first joeys ip. The threat of joey stealing will always be there even if the females are sisters. In the wild, gliders will live

Would this work if you have chewers? Would they chew through the netting?

Yea, the person provided a link with the fruits/veggies allowed, and I will be going to the grocery store soon to replace what I have with what I need. Not sure how I read the BML diet pages again and again, and somehow missed that IMPORTANT inform

That is correct. BML has to be followed exactly or it will throw off the ca/ph ratios. Fruits: apples, grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe, melon, frozen pitted cherries and blueberries Veggies: green beans, corn, carrots, and peas. http://www.petsugarg

HELP! I'M NEW...

Have you talked to your parents about getting gliders? What do they think? In my opinion, and this should be true for just about ANY pet, is that when a young person gets a pet, it needs to be with the support and participation of their parents. The

I've never attended an SGGA, but when I travel, I buy fruits and veggies at my destination (a carrot and apple or a container of pre-cut fruit, or I may order a meal with fruit on the side, or a salad where I can pick out the carrot sticks [I always

Thank you for the input. I really think it'll be fine, and the male sounds like such a sweetheart. He had a female friend, but she passed away.

On another forum, I was told: "The BML diet does not include brcocoli, yellow squash, papaya, mango or strawberries. Those are fine as treats but they are not included in the BML diet.Shrimp is also not included in the BML diet. If you're going

I pack BML and frozen veggies in a small cooler with dry ice. You can buy a small block at the grocery store and it stays frozen for two days. I also pack a small container of mealies. Some just feed chicken baby food or yogurt with fresh fruit fo

It's possible he may still try to mate, but I'm not sure. I have 5 neutered males, and only Hiroshi (Keiko's original mate) on occasion (rarely) tries to mate with her. None of the other males do, and Hiroshi doesn't care about my other 2 females.

I recently went to FIBB and used a pop up dog kennel that I bought from Meijers for under $20.00 it is about 2'x2'x3' it is nylon and netting being 2 sides of each. Top is Netting and zips closed. Is mad pretty good and folds flat for storage.

Personally, I don't trust a store-bought diet. Too often, it is fed as the sole source of nutrition and like other posters are saying, that's not its purpose. The pretty colored pellets are right out in my book. Why does a glider need artificial c

I have not experience this thank god. But from what I have been told it is the females way for showing domiance. Just like the males fighting for mating rights the females do the same. I hope a breeder can come along and help.

put those small mealies in a plastic shoebox size container with about 1/2 inch plain oatmeal - give them a week or so and watch them grow. Keeping them refrigerated also keeps them from growing larger and maturing into beetles. When they are large

It depends on what your gliders prefer (or are used to). My gliders will not eat baby food fruits or veggies or liquified pureed fruits. They do best with small glider hand size pieces that they can carry to their favorite spot in the cage to eat.
