Pulled from my files -
One would think that a few of the smart folks at UC Davis would put their thinking caps on - NO?
I remember thinking this back when i first read this article - Eucalyptus Redgum Lerp Psyllid Published 1/06

What do we know here at Glider Central that California does not - hmmmmm

May just maybe they should take a second look at their Exotic Laws in regards to their ban on Sugar glider's.
Possibly could be allowed to work a little on the lerps & in return as a payment to the "Little People", do a few needed studies to help Sugar glider's here in captivity in the USA!

Although Tasmanian Blue gums are utilised, as many people here have learned. Both E. camaldulensis & E. tereticornis in California would be more to our sugar glider's liking according to my research

In California this psyllid prefers river red gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis), & forest red gum (E. tereticornis). Certain Eucalyptus species are avoided or are not heavily infested by this psyllid
