I had a sugar glider that got dehydrated at one point and I gave her straight pedialyte. You can also get a 2nd water bottle and put straight pedialyte in it for mom to drink which will also be good for her. If you put it into another water bottle she will drink it whenever she wants. If for some reason she is not producing enough milk on her own, this assures that she will not get dehydrated herself with baby nursing. This worked out great for my gliders & after a couple of days she was fine. I just had 2 joeys come oop yesterday and man are they ever so cute. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Thanks everyone!
Tillie~ I only had to supplement a handful of times during the first week when I found her crawling around with an empty belly. Mia has been an excellent mom, I only had to help out a tad when she needed it. She is a single mom and the other female that she is in with doesn't really pay much attention to her and the baby. I check on the baby constantly just to make sure her belly is full and she is staying healthy, and I have everything ready, but I haven't had to help with feedings at all this week It does take a lot of patience and is harder than you would think. It is so rewarding when you see that little tummy turn white, though! I have so much respect for those who have to totally pull the joey and hand raise. Make sure to read up on Suz's site...she tells you everything you need to know
