Well, we did our first introduction with Piper and Zoey last night. I think it went well, there was no hissing or really any noises at all. They just kinda sniffed each other and circled around each other. They were grabbing each other on the face - which made me nervous that they would scratch the other's eye. Zoey, the younger one, crawled onto Piper's back a couple of times, but I gently moved her off in case Piper didn't like it. Piper did grab Zoey's fur to hold her, but then looked like she licked her ear. They did run into the pouch together, but I dumped them out because it made me nervous I could not see what they were doing. Should I have left them alone in the pouch?
I wouldn't say they really played together, but they didn't seem aggressive toward each other.
At what point do you know that they are accepting of each other and will be buddies?
Thanks

They seem to have accepted each other just fine. The grabbing of faces is typically to groom each other's faces. Totally normal. Getting on another's backs could be to determine dominance (we all know that there's always a 'boss'). They could also be just wanting to groom the other. I'd suggest allowing them to play for 45 minutes or even longer, then having them in a clean bonding pouch for a few hours or until it's time to be placed in their cage. Make sure that when you put them in a cage together, EVERYTHING has been washed. Then place two bowls of food to see if there's any food aggression/etc. Just in general keep an eye for a night or two.

Everything seems to be going well! I would put them in a bonding pouch together during the day for now if I were you, that way you can keep an eye on them and see if they cuddle up. sounds like they have accepted each other just fine, but it is safe to keep an eye on them and make 100% sure.

Okay - second night we let Piper and Zoey play together in the tent. Lots of grooming going on.....thought Piper was getting a little rough, but figured if it hurt Zoey would make some kind of noise or run away. They finally crawled into one pouch together - really cute - Piper pulled the blankets in and around the opening and tucked them in. Then she kind of peeked out, while Zoey was curled up in the bottom of the pouch.

Isn't it the best feeling when they accept each other? Love moments like these! Well done.

I woulda taken the 1st night as a successful intro. Ozzy grabbed Olive when I put them together but he was scenting her/marking his territory. It was Ozzy, Olive, & Orion that had a hard time being introduced but when they fell asleep together& Orion put his butt on Ozzy it was successful & they've been inseparable since. Hopefully I wont have any problems getting Ora in next week making it 4 gliders in 1 cage.

How many times should I let them play before I put them in a cage together?

There are no definite time line, it's very hard to tell. You should go with your gut, and check their behavior. Remember to keep an eye on them when you leave them in the cage together for the first night.
