She saw it on the window and snuck up on it before I could tell what it was and she tried to eat it and it stung her. She rubbed her nose for a few seconds so I know she was stung but now she's acting normal after me loving on her for a few minutes. Are they dangerous to gliders???

Oh goodness! That poor baby! I'm not sure if its dangerous or not, but I myself would keep a close eye on her and if she starts to act the least bit out of the ordinary, I'd be out the door!

I don't know a definite answer, but I'd imagine it'd be best, at this time, to just keep a good idea on her for about 24 hours to be sure nothing happens. Sorry I can't be of more help. Hopefully somebody else who knows more will come along and help. I'm sure she'll be fine.

I called my emergency vet Dr. Kate Zimmerman and she said that gliders in the wild eat insects for a living so they learn to avoid the ones that sting or atleast learn to kill them quicker so she said that ofcourse there will be a bit of tenderness for a couple of hours but she'll be just fine. If there's not massive swelling already then she's not allergic..Thank God!!! Dr. Kate actually said that she knows quite a few gliders that think they are quite tasty if killed quickly. My babies don't need that drama again sheesh.

She's her normal hyper little self Just wanting to groom daddy lol. I was soo scared when I saw her rubbing her nose and realized what was on the window. But, over all she's fine...I will keep a watch on her tonight most of the night though.

She was snuggling in my hands just licking and grooming me and just loving on me...she knows I'm there to protect her That makes my heart soar

oh the poor baby!!! I got stung by a wasp the first time not long ago cause I stepped on one (barefoot outside) after the pain hit I basically started crying. I thought maybe I stepped on a nail or something but when I looked it was super inflammed... my boyfriend coddled me and looked on the porch and there was a wasp crawling around... I was so upset I made him kill it (he didnt want to cause I did step on it so it was self defense for the wasp)... anyway... I was basically crying, so I cant imagine how it would feel for a snuggie ((then again the poison hurt not the actual sting so I dont know how it works for sugar gliders)) my moms allergic to bee's ect so shes glad I got stung rather then her ((we both go barefoot alot and she could die... so yeah)) any way I'm rambling.... poor baby!

Awww, poor thing got her nose stunged. I never even thought of this as a "what if" on stuff that could happen. I'm sure it was a bit of an ordeal, but I'm glad to hear that she's back to normal and there were no major reactions or problems

Sure will Liezl and yeah Sarah I didn't think of it as an issue either. But she started going back after it on the window and I couldn't grab her the window was too high so I took my hubby's shoe and put it between her and the wasp and corraled her toward us and I grabbed her and put her in my shirt while he killed the wasp. And got it out of the room so she was terrified that I was after her with a shoe I could see it in her poor little eyes but later she was just licking away and grooming me so I know she didn't blame me
