Sorry for all the posts Im trying to learn as much as I can before I get a glider. I dont want it to look at me like I dont know what Im doing. My question....what is a good feeding schedule? I know at night but is there a better time. and do you keep what they dont eat in there the next day or toss it? I would assume toss it.

I put the food in the cages right before they wake up because they are usually really hungry when they wake up. They will eat the food on and off during the night.

You do have to take the food out or it will spoil and you will get bugs in your house. It could also be bad for your sugar gliders if they eat spoiled food.

Don't worry about asking so many questions....that's the best way to learn!

Yup, we all try to put the food in just before they wake up and then remove it in the morning. So it will depend on what sleep schedule your little one is on. I try to start getting their dinner ready around 8pm and have it in by 8:30 at the latest. I remove any leftovers around 6-7 am.

I feed mine at 8-9 pm and take it out in the am when I get up as long as they are all sleeping. If I happen to wake up prior to them sleeping I will leave it in for a while as all of mine seem to be munching in the AM.

If you want to know what a person is like, watch how he treats others.

You'll never know what the outcome is if you don't step up and try.

That was a good question, Kansas.

While we are on the topic of scheduling...do you guys usually feed before or after playtime? It seems like if you fed before, they would be really distracted by food and not want to play.
