Watch their body language! :gluck:

1. They just woke up....likely will need to go.
2. They are squirming around in the pouch or shirt...maybe looking for a spot to go.
3. They're out of the pouch and playing....suddenly stop and lift their tail...probably going to go.

idea
Three really good signs that some evacuating is going to take place, either get a tissue ready or get out of the way!

My sister watched jasper pee on me and flipped out because I wouldn't change my shirt. "Your daughter did worse when she was a baby and pooed all over me. This is just a little water!" Hey, what can I say? You gotta go you gotta go, even if its on mom. And the pellets are easy enough to pick up anyway.

Some owners don't understand that, if they have "potty trained" their suggies........ the suggies aren't the ones that are trained, it's the owners!!! lol

Owned by 1 Aussie (Jamie), 2 kitties (Voltron and Espeon), 2 Florida box turtles (Puka and Conch), and 2 Suggies (Banjo and Kazooie).

Mine go on me ALL of the time, I guess they ARE potty trained! LOL Just kidding. I just know what to expect. When they wake up, pee. If I see them stop or back up when they are playing, I know I am about to get a "special" surprise.

I now have three suggies & gotta say, when my 2 adults first wake... They seem to be Mr & Mrs Sir Poops a lot!!! They poop, pee, & poop couple MORE times ... Then they are good. For a few minutes anyway!!! Hahaha. Very frustrating sometimes. Even if hey wake on their own and run around cage for a few, they STILL do it!! But love 'em or leave 'em... It is what it is... When they own you, they own you. I just wish I owned stock in Kleenex. 😝 I'm always prepared so accidents ON me are fairly uncommon.

One of my gliders (Halo) rarely goes to the bathroom on me, but my Naaya seems to save some poopage and at least a few drops of pee just for me. The moment her feet touch my hand her little tail arches up, and she leaves presents up my whole arm as she runs. We keep baby wipes with us at all times agree

I trained my glider to go potty on a paper towel or hanky and she is REALLY good about it. I can trust her to stay on her potty until she is done, whether I am there or not. The trick was lots of patience and positive reinforcement training. (Now she's being trained to attack the weeping angel action figure wherever I hide it-yay!)

My two girls "know he drill" and are pretty good at not pooping on me but depending on the amount of snuggies out of the pouch they will leave a wet trial on purpose. The male I got when he was a year old and he defiantly leaves his mark.... EVERYWARE blush

One of my gliders has gotten into the habit of climbing onto my hand when she wakes up and pooping off the edge and peeing down my fingers(She always moves further onto my hand when she's actually peeing to get it on my hand!)
Unfortunately my other one Indie is a lost cause. He will go out of his way to pee on me as much as possible. But I really don't mind it anymore, I actually view it as more of a compliment!

My gliders seems to go to the bathroom in one area, so im going to try and see if I put a litter pan under that one area if they will just continue to go there. Lol Ill keep you all updated on their progress.

You may put a pan under their preferred area but do not put any litter in it unless it is placed under the bottom grate of the cage where your gliders cannot reach the litter.

They are likely to also drop pieces of food into the pan, that they will try to retrieve. They might ingest the litter along with the retrieved food.

My wife gets her Gizmo out of the pouch and puts him on the tray where he goes pee almost right away, then in about a minute he will go poo, then its into her bra for more sleep. The other day gizmo was sitting awake on the corner hammock, my wife picked him up and put him on the tray, he immediately peed a lot! she looked at me saying "and they say gliders can't be potty trained" into the bra gizmo goes.
gizmo doesn't go into the bra until after he potties. has very few accidents in the bra, and after some hours the wife will let him back on the tray and he will sometimes go again before heading back for the bra.

He may not be dog or cat trained, but when you can put your glider in a spot and he will potty for you before going into the bra for sleep, that's pretty close. AND she doesn't do any of that tummy rubbing, just watches him till he's done with his business.
