I'd love to but I literally have no room for a tent like that, even a small one. Are there other places I could bond with them besides a tent? OR maybe if anyone knows of a small tent that's good for them?

I don't have room for a tent either so I glider proofed my bathroom. I made sure they can't get up under the cabinet (stuffed the open area with towels I don't use for myself) I made sure everything is put in the cabinet so I don't have to worry about them getting into things when we play. I put my plunger and things like that into my laundry room this way they can't play with that either. I have found the bathroom to be fun. I used to have a tent but it was a pain in this small apartment so I gave it to another glider person that there is no way to proof the bathroom. Oh and the bathroom is so much easier to clean then the tent. Just take lots of toys and fun things to play with into the bathroom with you. We have a blast..Make sure to close the toilet lid.

I spend time with ours in the bathroom. I made a PVC stand for them to climb on. Yes, make sure to glider proof the bathroom before you let them go though.
We put a towel draped over the toilet between the seat and lid. If the gap between is big enough to slide your finders in, then they can find a way in usually which could lead to death.
Also we have a little night light for some light for us to see them. All the shampoo/conditioner/body wash I put in my basket and set it out in the hallway and make sure all drawers and doors are closed.
Finally we roll up a towel and place up against the door so they can't try and sneak out under the door. But then we let them loose to play, they love scaling the cloth shower curtain to the top and leaping over to my head.
If you'd like, lay down a fleece blanket of sorts to keep them warm if they are running around on the floor.

Bathroom time is a great alternative to tent time!

Bathroom time is what I do. I'm fortunate to have a second bathroom and in it is an oddly small shower stall that we never use. So I lined the shower walls with fleece and put PVC across the top to hang toys from. Then I hung a fleece "bridge" from the shower curtain rod to the towel rack. When I'm in there I throw a towel over the back of the toilet and a blanket over the lower part of the toilet and over the floor. It works great!

I got this and I love it!! It is the exact same size as my queen size bed so I just put it over my bed and pillows and everything w/ a fleece blanket inside and all their toys and the tv remote and it's perfect! I have the room but just too lazy to set it up and sit on the floor for long periods of time. Plus it is SO easy to put up and take down, I just throw it under my bed when I'm done. I also like that the whole thing is mesh so I can see everything and don't feel claustrophobic at all. Seriously I just love this thing. The ONLY reason I can see why someone might not want it is if they want a lot of vertical room. I can sit up almost straight in it, usually I lean against my headboard and the mesh isn't too constricting so it'll kind of lean w/ me. Another plus is the fact that it's specifically made for cats so you gotta figure the mesh has gotta be pretty strong, and so far it seems to be. http://www.wayfair.com/ABO-Gear-Happy-Habitat-10672-ABO1027.html?refid=FR49-ABO1027

also if using the bathroom be sure to cover any drains. My shower drain is the kind that has a bunch of small holes so we put a towel across it to make sure their toes didnt get caught.

Lisha, love the bed tent!! I have room for the regular tent but this is a neat alternative. Thanks! I tried the bathroom, but there were just too many slick surfaces and fleece just slid off with the gliders.

I do the bed tent also.. I have a queen bed and I use a pop up genji tent. I love it http://www.amazon.com/Genji-Sports-Self-Expanded-Screen/dp/B00183N8S4My butt doesn't hurt from the floor either! I just pop it up put it on the bed and when I'm done I fold it up and store it under my glider cage. Works wonderful for me!

i really dont have room for a tent and i havent really thought of using the bathroom. I have my glider in a spare bedroom that is nothing but his room where the cage is set up, everynight i open the cage door and let him run and climb all over the room and jump from all the ledges and vines back to me for at least a hour is this good enough for bonding time for should we be trying something new, i got him as a rehome and he seems to be very trusting already he loves to jump to me and climb my back

I live in an apartment as well. I have the Genji, which is great because it's mostly mesh, and pops u or down in ten seconds. No poles to deal with! It fits on my California King sized bed for the nights that my back hurts. Most nights, I have it in the livingroom or in the glider's room. When i am done, I get all the toys out, unzip it all the way and shake it onto the floor and vacuum the mess up!
