HI!

I am in Willow Wood, Ohio, just across the bridge from Huntington, WV. I am an Ohioan but am closer to WV cities than Ohio. My dh works in WV and that is where we shop and go to the doc and dentist, etc. I am thrilled to find someone from Hurricane! All the Ohio people are from way 'up north' so I am thrilled to find someone close. I met a lady from Chillicothe, OH so she is only about 2 hours from me but I can get to Hurricane in less than an hour. Howdy Neighbor!

All of you are still closer to me than most of the people in Ohio. I might live in Ohio but I am more interested in the politics and businesses of WV because I am there more than I am here. So glad to hear from all of y'all.

I'm originally from Bruceton Mills, But I just recently moved to Fairmont for school. I'm having problems finding a nearby vet who will take care of my sugar glider, so if any of you know of a vet that will that is preferable in the north or central part of WV, or nearby, please let me know. I don't want to have to find a vet when something is wrong, I'd like to get one now. The vet that I thought dealt with exoctic animals in Morgantown isn't there any more, so I dunno what to do. Let me know if you can help! Thanks!

I don't know how many of you are near Huntington, WV but I have always taken my animals to the Tri-state Animal Clinic. I called when I got gliders and was told they don't take care of them, but when I was in there getting meds for another animal, I had my gliders in my sissy pouch and they were telling me that they DO take care of them. Their regular well-pet visit is like $20.00 and then anything extra you have done. That is the most reasonable prices I have found anywhere. They are wonderful with all types of animals and I am THRILLED to have someone so close who is available 24 hours.

Just thought I'd through that in for the Huntington area Suggie Lovers!

Sweetcat, Sweetcheeks and FiestyMom. Welcome to Glider Central. We are so glad you found this site. We hope to see posts and pictures from all of you soon. Glad you could find out where the others in your state are. By the way, I've been to Wheeling a hundred times on the way to Pittsburgh. My dad was born in Punxsutawney but grew up in Pittsburgh.

I found out that the local animal hospital in Fairmont takes care of anything, but they aren't able to do surgeries. Hopefully I never have to take her for surgery or anything like that, but if I need to, Charleston is a lot closer to me than any other specialized glider vets. Thanks!!
