Finally in the Mountains!
Hi Everyone!

Here are the instructions for a no sew parachute pouch I came up with for my little boogers. Just thought I would share. Please PM me if you have any questions. I have also attached pictures smile

No-Sew Parachute Pouch

You will Need:
2 – 12”-14” square pieces of fleece
6 – Baby links
4 – ½”-1” wide, 8”-10” inch Long fleece strips
Scissors

Layer your fleece pieces one on top of the other (double layer). Cut the corners of the fleece at about a 45 degree angle into an angled strip about 1” wide, and 2” deep. Cut out from the angled strip at less and less of an angle until you can do a straight cut (about two cuts, be careful not to cut to close and cut through the strips). Cut all four angled corners first. After all corners have been cut, cut straight strips about 1” wide, 2” deep all the way around the fleece pieces. Begin tying the straight strips from the bottom layer to the top layer. DO NOT TIE THE ANGLED CORNERS TOGETHER.
Tie a Baby Link tightly to each corner using the angled strips.
Tie a fleece strip to each baby link attached to the pouch.
Tie the other end of the fleece strips to ONE Baby Link. I tie them individually, which allows me to move and wiggle them so I can get the pouch to open correctly.
Link the Baby Link with the strips attached to the last baby link for hanging.
You can add as many baby links to hang from the ceiling of the cage as you like.

Now when your fuzzball is in the pouch, you can simply place your hand under the pouch and lift up. The strips and links will fall to the side and there is your baby!

Thanks smile I wanted a pouch so they can see out and I can see in. I dont sew very well (Mama does)... took me almost half a day and lots and lots of fleece to get it just right smile

My newest addition is EXTREMELY pouch protective. I put him in on of these and last night I was able to lift him up with no crabbing or lunging... It was great!

i use the parachute method, too! i love it because its easy for my to get the girls in and out, and for them to peek out when they hear me. plus, i dont have to sew anything or worry about loose threads. :0)

another idea...make a larger one, and hang it below, for a dual level (similar to the sugar combs!) hangy place to chill. i filled the bottom level with easter eggs and fun toys for a hanging ball pit, and the top has a smaller, inverted parachute to provide a little cover for them.
