I bought a treadmill for my gliders a few months ago and they thought it was OK, and Illusion enjoyed it every so often. Mostly however it was simply sitting in the corner of the cage. Then along came Malcom. He LOVED it from the first moment he discovered it and couldn't decide which was more fun.....spinning on his wheel or on the treadmill. Needless to say, I was glad that it was being enjoyed. However until this weekend, I didn't realize exactly how wonderful it really was. Mr Malcom had to go into an e-collar due to some penis issues. Once the antibiotics kicked in and he was feeling full of himself once more he wanted to play and his favorite form of play is spinning. In his hospital cage I had a travel size wheel. Saddly his collar kept catching on the track as he tried to run, so I made the decision to swap it out for the treadmill since the surface was a bit more "friendly". It worked wonderfully well and Malcom ran and spun on it at top speed for nearly an hour. The only issue he had was that when he tried to run & spin in one direction he would knock his collar on the side of the cage. He solved that problem by running in the opposit direction until I got it moved more to the center of the cage. I can't begin to say ho happy having his treadmill made him . Thank you so much for such a wonderful product. It made one little collared glider much happier and less stressed than he was. I'll try to get a picture of him running, though he does tend to jump off if anyone gets near his cage because he's afraid I'll grab him and put KY on his bottom.

Chris that's great to hear! I was hoping that it would work for special needs gliders; that was one of my main inspirations for the treadmill. I'm so happy that Dallie has been able to make them for everyone.

It's quite amazing to see how happy the treadmill makes someone when it can be used to it's fullest capacity! It has been a Godsend for some gliders who cannot or will not use their wheels.
and as you stated - some aren't interested in the treadmill much at all .
I'm glad to hear your little guy is still able to run around and be a bit happier in such an unfavorable situation!
