Hey Guys

I am in the process of making a Sugar Glider Care Binder! I want to list my gliders weights, feeding habits, emergency contacts, ect. So, when I go on vacations, ect. I can just give the binder to my glider sitter and it will have a step-by-step guide on how to care for them. I was just wandering what all I should put in there? I want a lot of info and to put a lot of records in there, but I do not really know what all to put in there cry

Thanks :thumb2:

I have a binder like that but mostly for vet visit use in case of an emergency they have all the facts there. I keep birth certificates and past vet bills and written history of the vet visit. I also keep care pamphlets or printed info from computer and in the diet section I always add if there's something new I've given them... Even a snack. I had one glider that was very sick and went through a lot of vet time and this helped everyone... Especially me, who was a little too frazzled to communicate all information. It's easy to leave stuff out in those situations smile hope that is helpful smile

I would have a few pages of instructions for feeding, cleaning, and handling. Such as where to find the food, how much, what time, where it goes in cage, how to clean, how often to clean, when to clean, where you put the mess, how to hold them, etc.
I would then have a few pages with vet names, numbers, addresses, directions, and reasons of why they may need to go to the vet. (slow moving, bald spots, wound, not eating)
I would have a small kit along with the binder for emergency use. Include blankets, a heating pad, syringes, apple juice, e-collar, etc.
I would make a list of things NOT to do with the gliders. Such as moving the cage, food not to feed, dont pick them up by tail, dont let free unless room is safe, don't leave toilet seats open...etc
Leave other contact numbers in the binder as well. Such as yours, your friends, your family, etc.
Good luck! And smart idea!

To simplify your process, you might consider purchasing one like this:
