Here you can see the trim tracks (sandpaper, nylon nuts/bolts, and the wheel mesh for external use). As well as the classic raptor wheel.

Step One: Separate the 2 pieces of wheel mesh, 2 pieces of sandpaper, and the 8 nylon nuts/bolts. You can do so by unscrewing the nuts & bolts from the mesh.

Step Two: Place the sandpaper on back size facing up, grit side facing towards the track of the wheel. Then place the mesh over the sandpaper, under both lips of the wheel.

Step Three: Place the nylon BOLT through the inside of the wheel to the outside of the wheel going through the mesh. Try to go 2-3 mesh squares inside the lips of the wheel.

Step Four: Place the nylon NUT on top of the nylon BOLT and screw together very tight. You can also use a screwdriver to help.

Step 5: You are all done, ALMOST! You did the nylon nuts/bolts 4 times. Now, we need to do it on the other side of the wheel!

Step 6: All done with the second set!

Step 7: All done with the wheel! Woohoo! Now you can just put it in the cage and your gliders will have nice nails, not too sharp, not too dull!

My little stinkers, jump over the tracks! So I just don't use them any more. Just have to trim them every other week!

Haha. Little buggers! Mine use the wheel with trim tracks, but I still trim everyone's nails every 2-3 weeks anyways.

This way works great! I gave up on trim tracks for a while because they did nothing for my gliders nails. I just recently got a new raptor and the trim tracks were already installed like this....major difference for my babies nails. One I have not had to trim for months, another every 3 weeks, and my last one unfortunately does not run as much as my other two so he still gets trimmings every 2 weeks. :D

Awww. I check everyone's nails alone every 3 weeks (which this week was the 3 week mark) and everyone's nails look fantastic. I will definitely be a lifelong trim tracks user.
