Why does my male sugar glider have a hole in this throat the other male sugar gliders have one but it is just a line but his is open it wasn't bleeding. Will post picture once I know how

All gliders have a scent glad on their chest and some may appear larger than others. At times, if they're using it a lot, it can get a little bit messy and look reddish like it may be blood. Are you certain that it's a wound? I can't tell from that picture. If it is, it may be best to get your little one to a vet to take a look at how bad it is. Where do you live? We may be able to recommend someone in your area. I'd like to encourage you to register so that when this thread is moved you'll be able to follow it.

Has this male been neutered? That is where the scent gland is located and it looks like he has been using it.
Even if he is neutered some males will still mark, he may be the dominant male in the cage and is marking his turf.
