If you go to the top of the page there is a button that says links. If you click on that there is a GC links at the bottom of the list. Highlight that and then there is a GC links diet Page in that list. All of the BML information is there.

I've never fed nuts, but I think you have to be careful about how many you give. Hopefully someone with a little more knowledge on this will be along soon with some good information.

Getting them on a proven diet as soon as possible is a great idea! Also, I see you're new so Welcome to GC!! This is a great resource for information on caring for your glider. I've learned so much from this site and there are LOTS of very knowledgable people here. Read as much of the information as you can. sounds like you're well on your way to becoming a great glider slave!!

Be very careful with nuts! They are fattening and do not contain enough nutrition for the Gliders. But they are delicious. Gliders love them. However, they do cause constipation.

That other link didn't work...
I use the same website, here it is again...

BML Diet Plan

You really need to put lots of thought into what to feed them.

3 reasons why to NEVER give nuts:

1. Aflatoxins
2. Fat
3. Intestinal Blockage

No problem owen, when I first got my gliders, I was told it was okay to feed nuts, too!! So no worries, we learn everyday a better way for us to care for these little sweeties.

Can you feed nuts occasionally as treats? My guys love the raw pine nuts - unsalted, of course. I rarely give them more than one a day (and they are really small.) Is this okay?

There are a few members here that do feed the pine nuts. I think Chrissy was one of them..... maybe she or others will come along soon to tell you about when and how many they feed.

The BML as well as other recommended diets can be found from the diet page. It's great you're going to switch over to a healthier diet for little Owen.

I also wanted to add, that when you are feeding any of proven balanced diets, any additions (including any treats) throw the ca:ph ratios off, hence becoming unbalanced. What Bourbon has suggested to do with BML is to offer compnents of the diet for treats, that way you can lesson the amount later during the actual feeding portions.

Rep-Cal is the brand name.

You'll need the Rep-Cal Herptivite (Blue label, white jar) and the Rep- Cal Calcium non-phosphorus with Vit. D3 (pink label white jar).

Unfortunately I'm not home to get the sku number off my jars, but if you check out the BML diet page it has pictures of the suppliments so you can see what you are looking for.

I know Pets-Mart and Pet-Co carry it. I buy mine from Sheila at www.toandfrogliders.com
