Sugar and Stitch bred on Aug 10th and 11th. Tonight I was playing with Sugar in the tent and the rim of her pouch is very slightly swollen and I can see the pink skin around it. She is acting fine, could this mean the babies could be fixing to come to pouch or possibly already there? Please give me any advice or explanation, I am new to the breeding thing!!

Yes, with some females it is obvious that a baby is about to or already has dropped into the pouch. The pouch area will sort of swell and the open will be more relaxed looking. Swelling should be gone within the next couple of days.
Thank you for your response. About how long should it take to feel as lil bump in her pouch?

Give her about three weeks... and then you can gently feel the baby. By that time... it is about an inch or so in length.
I being an experienced breeder can feel a little one a day or so after the wee one drops into pouch. However, I do not incourage newbies to do so as it can be difficult to find and the mother usually will become stressed if one does not know what they are feeling for.
I would probably be asking 10 times the questions you are if I were in your shoes. So when you ask questions others of us are getting the benefit of the answers too. Keep on asking!

yea, you happened to ask the exact question i was going to SHIREE276!!! i am just a little confused because my little girl's man is only three mo oop! and with her the lining of the pouch isnt prominent... she just looks fatter around the pouch area, which is odd for her because she has always been skinny. so my question is- do females gain a little weight while "ovulating" or is she preggers? oh! and is there some where i can find a pic of a slightly pregnant glider? do you have one by chance suggiemama?
thanks!

and i was just reading... since she is a skinny girl (less than 100 grams last time i checked), and this would be her first pregnancy, should i give her pinkies if i do decide she is pregnant? and how often? any advice is great!

oh, and she and her mate live with her brother (neutered). she and her brother have lived together since birth- he is generally laid back, he shouldnt pose an issue, right?

[:"green"]FWgirlie, It is possible that your female is carrying joeys even though the male is only 3 months oop. Does he show any signs of his bald spot and is his scrotal sac dropped away from his body yet? If so, then he is becoming sexually mature and could breed. However, breeding at that age is not very common, so not very likely yet... Females do not gain weight during ovulation, so I doubt that is why her pouch is looking larger. Is it possible that she is just eating more lately and is gaining some weight? At this point, I would wait a couple of weeks and then gently feel her belly to find out if there are any hard lumps there - if so, then she has joeys in pouch. In regards to feeding pinkies to her, you can offer one or two to her a week if it makes you feel more comfortable. What diet do you have her on to begin with? If it is BML, then you should increase the overall quantities of the entire diet offered to an expectant mother, not just the protein & calcium as you would with other diets. As for the neutered brother - there should be no problem with keeping him in with a breeding pair. In fact, he will help out with the raising of any joeys! Attached is a picture of Carina with one joey about 2 weeks along in-pouch. If you look closely at the area just above her lower foot in the picture, you may be able to see a slight bulge... HTH
yes all that info helps! and yes, they are on BML. as for the potential daddy- i knew he was an early bloomer. the day after i got him i noticed that his pom pom was well developed, and shortly after that his testacles dropped fully. his bald spot isnt really bald yet, though i do see some changes in it. i was just surprised he may have gotten her pregnant already- i have seen him half mount her durring play time, and he seemed to get half way there and pause as if to ask himself, "ok, this seems rigth, but now what?" lol well it seems as though he may have figured that out!!! and if he hasnt.... it wont take much more time.
