I urgently need someones help. I live in Thailand and have already spoken to the vet and the breeder i bought my sugar gliders but need a second opinion.

My female, meeps, has just had twins approx 2-3 days oop. Her mate grizzle is rather vicious towards me and her. When she was carrying her joeys she would continuously escape out of her cage by bending the bars with her head and squeezing out (i had no idea how strong she was). As the joeys grew bigger i didn't want them to get hurt, so she was left to roam around my room whilst grizzle was left in the cage (he is not as strong or smart as she is hence didn't escape). On the rare occasion that i did put the two of them together he's start biting and trying to mount her so he went back in the cage.

I thought now that the joeys were born he might be different, but no. I put them in the cage and he went straight for meeps pouch pushing the joeys aside.

I have asked the vet (no clue) and breeder what to do. Her advice is to put them together. Is that right???

Please help, Anna (Meeps, Grizzle, Pip-squeek and one yet to be named).

The father plays a part in raising the joeys. In my opinion he is showing dominance over the female.

Females will come into heat shortly after the joeys come oop. So he may have also been trying to breed her.

I am moving this to Breeding and Babies so it will get more exposure.

Thank you.
So should i move them all into the cage together?
If she escapes out of the cage in the middle of the night, he will be alone with both of the babies. Whenever she got out, she has never tried to get back in.

You need to find a cage she can't get out of.
