Tonight at playtime, chaz took a little nap in my shirt like he loves to do. He usually sleeps on my chest for about 30 minutes every night, sometimes longer. As he was in my shirt tonight I could tell he had fallen asleep and he barked in his sleep and woke up, I checked on him and he looked straight at me and continued to bark continuously even after I petted him.
It's not like he's not use to me, we've formed a really strong bond. Has anyone experienced this before? Im not asking because I'm concerned, he's totally healthy and has been doing great. Just thought it was strange! He can be an odd one sometimes.

The moon is still 91% of full, so I am sure that is influencing some of his behavior.

Could have had a bad dream too.

He may have heard or smelled something he thought you should be told about - or maybe he was just trying to tell you about his dream!

I have a story teller - he barks for about 20 minutes every night - all the other gliders stop to listen and when he is done then they all continue exploring and playing.

They also like to tell me when the sprinklers come on outside their room and when my son's alarm clock (on the other side of the house) goes off when he is getting up at 4 am to go to work.

Some gliders just like to hear them selves bark I think.

Yep I have barker too. Well 2 barkers. Fiona is my snooze alarm at 4:15 am, and Dot barks if we go to bed too early. All you have to do is get up, flush the toilet and go in and coo to them for a few minutes, give them each a little scratch, and they are fine... Then after playtime, if one lingers out of the pouch too long, the other barks till she goes to bed.

He's usually not a barker Lola was always my barker. I find it interesting to listen to them bark though for some reason. He just stared me straight in the eyes and barked like crazy! When he does bark on the rare occasion I give him a treat and talk to him and go back to bed! I thought it was strange how he did that though

I believe sometimes they just call out, either to each other or their person(s), and sometimes they have more to say.
