I was so excited I found this in a video I watched of someone making there rabbit a cage and I would love to find this with 1/2 in. bar spacing! I would like to make my own cage soon and have been stuck on a screening I think this would be perfect if it comes in the size sugar gliders need!

I've not seen them with smaller spacing in grids. I also don't know what the material is used for them either.

There have been people that have used the shelving from Menards for closets, it has half inch bar spacing.

would you happen to know where I could get just a pack of the shelves? I googled it but there all a whole kit hardware and all or just a single shelf I am just looking for the shelves to make the screening

At the store, I believe that you can get just the shelves.

I think most stores like Lowes and Home Depot sell just the shelving. I'm not sure on exact brands, but I have heard that the "Pantry" shelving has 1/2" spacing, they are coated in white, I'm not sure what exactly, but people have built cages for them. I've tried google search for more information but most show for other animals, such as rats. I do know I've heard they're safe for Sugar Gliders but here is all I can find for them specific. I've found no reviews on them so far, so I have no information on how well they hold up.

Cage made from shelving

#2 cage made from shelving

This and another one, that was smaller and I couldn't see where the door was.

This cage looks awesome, but then I don't know about the wood and if it's a good choice or how it's coated. I always have read negative on woods and would personally stay away from that as cages are concerned. But this is so attractive, and with farther research, it may be possible to find a safe and lasting way of creating similar, maybe this one even is, I have no way of knowing.

Beautiful Cage

I love the last 2 especially the third one I have directions for sealing the wood and everything the only negative thing I have heard from the wood cages is that the wood holds the urine smell but I think I might try it I mean I can wipe it down daily I would love to make the frame out of wood and the "screening" from the pantry shelving like in the second picture but looking at the first it looks like I can make it all out of the shelving I do not have an account for the site the first picture was on did you see instructions for it at all? I couldn't figure out how I would connect the shelves without it looking bulky but they nailed it!
