Hi guys!

Just to put it out there, I'm NOT interested in taking on breeding. I've been reading up on lots of threads here and had some qs. In my quest to find my old girl a cagemate, they kinda popped into my head.

I've read that it's optimal to wait until males and females are about a year before breeding. How about the other end of the spectrum? Do females go through anything like menopause and if so, at what age? Do males at any age become infertile from being too old (I Doubt this but never hurts to ask)? What age range (low and high end) is healthiest for the gliders to breed, just because they can doesn't mean it's good for their health?

Looking for a glider made me super aware of this aspect. It is making me question and wonder about a few for sale ads I've seen around the net. It also is making me want to learn all I can about these beauties.

Thank you for any input.

Here is an article on breeding for you to read: When can they breed.

Males can be neutered so you could get a male for your female and have him neutered before you put them together.
