I am going a little crazy with trying to find an appropriate wheel. First time owner expecting this July. Are the only safe options raptor and stealth? In Canada these seem hard to come by. I work at a vet clinic and have access to Lixit, Super Pet and Prevue Hendryx products. My Chinchillas have similar wheel habits, more jumping and bounding, with big fluffy tails. They like this one. Check the BACK of the Silent Spinner - some have an exposed gear system that is a hazard for glider tails. Gliders often like to hide behind their wheels even when another glider is propelling the wheel. There are also small slots on the sides of the plastic running track that can catch a glider nail or toe which can also cause an injury. I understand that the shipping costs for wheels being shipped from the states can be expensive because most vendors ship by priority mail. You can contact the vendor and request a lower cost ground or parcel shipping method - it will take longer for your wheel to arrive but the cost will be more reasonable. You have plenty of time to order and still have your wheel before your gliders come home in July.

Just in case anyone else checks my post. I have found a great option for Canadian glider owners. Rescue Raptor wheel at my glider wheels and more. It cost $90 ish dollars Canadian, they pay the shipping and send a wheel to a rescue of your choice (from a list). If you are going to get a glider safe wheel this seems the way to go. Haven't placed my order yet but this is looking to be a great option.
