Hello, normally when I hear barking i'm outside of the room where my Gliders are or am away from the cage but twice now one of my gliders has had a small barking session while sitting on me during playtime. I'm confused as to why this is happening. Have any of you had any experience with this or any idea as to why she would do that?

It is not uncommon. Gliders use barking to communicate with each other - too bad we do not speak glider.
I call Corky my 'story teller'. He always spends about 10 minutes barking when we are playing in the tent. All of the other gliders freeze to listen and when he is done the immediately go back to playing. I have to wonder if he is just a great story teller, or if he is giving some sort of important life lecture.
I wish my boys had listened that carefully when I had something to say when they were kids.
At night, my gliders bark at things they hear out side including letting me know when the sprinklers come on out side their room. One likes to make sure I know when my son's alarm clock has gone off on the other side of the house.

We had an outside light that shut of around 1 a.m. It took awhile to realize that they will bark @ that time.
