I have been feeding him a mix of Pedialyte and formula every hour since 9 am today. I want to make sure that his belly looks normal and that there doesn't appear to be any bloating. I have attached pictures of his belly. He has not defecated yet. Thanks everyone!

I'm sorry I didn't see this before, but I honestly don't know if the belly should look full completely across or what as I have not had experience with feeding a rejected joey.

I am going to leave this thread open for a little while in case someone comes along who does know or in case I find the information.

Note: This little one has cross over the Rainbow Bridge :rbridge:

Did you rub his little bottom with a damp Q Tip? they have to be stimulated to poop

Yes, she did, Dinah. I left this thread so someone could comment on how the belly looks.

Is this how it should look when a joey has a full belly of milk?

she looks bloated to me. usually there is a small dime size bubble that means they need to poop and as you know they have to be stimulated.

Thank you for your help. Yes I did do the q-tip trick and he actually did have a bowel movement very shortly after I made the post. Sadly, baby was cannibalized by his parents when I put them together again that night.
