Has anyone made splash guards for their gliders' wheels? I was thinking of getting some plexiglass and drilling some holes in it to attach it to the cage directly in front of and behind the wheel. I noticed when he runs on his wheel and poops it flies out of the cage. I'm sure urine goes airborne too! shock

The placement of the wheel in our cage is on the side, rather than on the back. Maybe I should move it. I know there's an article on here somewhere about wheel placement...I'll see if I can find it.

But anyways...just curious if anyone else has done splash guards.

That's why we have a cover with a split front it catches or deflects the pee /poo to drop straight to the floor.

I know several on here use a shower curtain or plexi glass on the wall. Much easier to clean.

As far as wheel placement, when it comes to the "spray" it won't matter, it's gonna fly.

If you decide to attach to the bars, be sure it's tight, or he might get his fingers pinched while trying the climb there.

you could also find a piece of fleece to cover that side at night.
