Hello everyone! Excited to be here and discuss sugar gliders and our small zoo of other pets with everyone. I'll give a little info on my glider background and current gliders grin

I previously owned a senior pair of normal female sugar gliders, both of which passed away around two years ago of old age and improper diet. They were fed only pellets, apples and mealworms for years with their original owners, LGRS suggie soup for their short time with us. Kaya and Luna were very sweet but grumpy and were more bonded with each other than me.

A few months ago I adopted Pixel, a neutered male leucistic sugar glider, and more recently I brought home a breeding colony of a mosaic het leucy male and two leucy females (still deciding on names). This colony is unrelated. I am a hobby breeder of short tailed opossums and have not yet decided if the mosaic male will be neutered or if we will have a few of his joeys first. That's a decision I will be carefully making in the future!

Pixel is extremely sweet and playful, but the new colony is still getting settled. My hope is to either merge Pixel into the colony or separate one of the females to pair with him as a companion. A lot of that will depend on the male's tolerance of Pixel around his females and obviously we will take it very slowly once intros start. The new colony is still in quarantine so I have plenty of time to make that decision.

I have plenty of "exotic" experience including working with North American mammals, venomous reptiles and with wildlife rehabilitation in various volunteer and staff positions. I'm excited to have somewhere to post stories about my new gliders as well as an excellent source of advice!
