Hey there.
I have been the proud owner of two male suggies for a little over 6 months.
I have been feeding them the same diet their breeder recommended.
Wombaroo powder with honey, eggs, etc.
Paired with a serving of 2 kinds of fresh fruit and 2 kinds of vegetables.
The boys get about 2 TBS. of wombaroo mix and 2 TBS of veg/fruit each night.
2-3 mealworms (alive) every 3 days and acacia powder, sprinkled over their food about twice a week.
I use treats like Joghurt Drops and dried fruit very sparingly!
My guys have wheels, a tent with toys, I encourage foraging and a large cage.
I researched for ages and feel pretty confident about being a suggie mom!
Here is my problem:
One of them seems very fat!
He is less active than the smaller glider and has been from the beginning.
I am not sure what to do!
Is he ok being pudgy?
If not, what can I do to help him?
Little guy weighs 98 grams and big guy hit 133!
He looks twice as big as his little brother!

He doesn't look that much bigger than the other glider.

Your smaller glider is just working off his calories compared to the chunkier one.

You can try tent time, using feather toys to get the chunkier one to work a little.

I was reading a lot about health risks in overweight sugar gliders.
This makes me feel a lot better!
Thank you!
