Several Questions Thank you for reading
After pouch swapping when it is time to introduce sugar gliders to meet each other how would I do it with six gliders ?
They have only lived alone since I got them, except the 1yr old was with
another glider before I got her. I am wanting to put all 6 together if they get along.

The girls ages are:
1 yr old
8 months
5 1/2 months
3 months old
3 1/2 month old
2 month old

Would they be happier in 1 big colony or should I make 2 colonies ?
I have 2 critter nation cages with add ons, I am wanting to put together to
make one large cage. Would this be big enough for 6 sugar gliders ?

Would anyone know of any cages that are about the same size as critter
nation that has sections that can be removed to make a large cage and be able to put back in if needed to ?

Because I am stumped on how to make it be divided into sections, I learned from a post I read how to put the pan under the grate on the bottom shelf and it works perfect but I need a divider in case they don't get along,

would anyone know how can I change the critter nation cage into 3 sections, which includes the add on. In case I need to separate them.

I will start with questions...

Are any of the gliders living together now? Are the all healthy, on same diet?

It is possible to have a large colony, but a lot will have to do with personality.

Intros will need to be individually, swapping blankies, and pouches, getting them used to each others scent.

Thank you very much. No, they do not live in the same cage, however,
they all are in the same room. I have their cages about 4-5 inches apart,
3 cages are on one side of the room and the other 3 are across the room.

Someone said if they cannot reach each other's cage it's close enough.
However, I recently read their
very territorial. I wonder if they think the
glider in the next cage since it's near them that she
is going to come in their territory. Should I move the cages further apart?

Yes they are all on the pet glider diet for now and I may switch to the BmL
later though unsure still. They have tried both and love both .
They all been to the vet and fecal rechecked and are healthy.
One of my gliders ear seems a little dry but no flaking or
redness or swelling or itching went to the vet last week
her said she was ok and no mites .

Idon't know what to do for the ears, maybe put a little baby oil on it?
Example-Would warm weather outside and then into
the car a different temperature and then in the store
temperature and then car
temp again and then house temperature maybe dry the ears and
make them feel little hard ?

The same glider I tried a times to introduce her to a few other ones
she nipped them, rolled one in a ball, another one she keep pulling
to her when she wanted out of the bag. The minute they didn't get along
I removed them. She is used to being the only one for a long time and
she has been staying in her bag little more but eating good I hope she
don't get depressed I keep watching her close.

All suggestions are welcomed being new to sugar gliders is a lot to learn
and enjoy in the process :

Wow... All in different cages...

Feather might be a bit more helpful, but I will try to get this ball rolling...

If I were in your shoes, I would pair them off first.

STAGE 1 :

Swap pouches between a pair...Do this daily for about 4 days. Then swap cages.

Stage 2 : bathtub time. In the morning before they go to bed for the day, put the pair together that you have been swapping pouches, etc. On a blanket. Put a scent free sleeping pouch in the middle, and observe. If they go in together, they should settle doen and sleep.

In order for this to work, the cage they will share will need to be scriubbed down, and all scents removed. Gliders are scent oriented and territorial. If they move into a perfectly clean cage, they will both mark their scent.

Please keep us posted, sorry I have been away from the board today.

Ok, since this is added on , I forgot are all of these female? If not, are males neutered? If males aren't neutered, you will want them done before intros.

Ok, chiming in here!

Start by swapping pouches, do a kind of round robin, type of thing, cage 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 5, 5 to one. Do this every other day.

Then after about 1 to 2 weeks of that take out two gliders and introduce them in a neutral area, bathtub works. If those two hit it off ad another glider and keep going adding a glider if they get along.

If you get them all together then deep clean the cage they are going to share, put in one pouch for every glider and see how it goes.

Thank you both for your help and the information you given me.
After the swapping when introducing the first two and if they get along, do I bring the third one in immediately
thereafter and if they get along, keep going with each gliders as long as its all going well ?

Do You think I should start with the oldest glider first and work my way down to the youngest ?

If I introduce them and some don't get along should I separate them all and then start back at the beginning stage 1 ?
If some get along and go into a neutral cage together and then when I introducing a new glider to them and they get along
, do I need to deep clean the cage every time I add one ?

Also when putting them into a neutral cage should I use the pouches they been swapping or wash them before putting in the neutral cage.
I only have girls I don't have any males and in your opinion do you think the sugar gliders would do better with the three older in one
cage and younger in another ?

The baby's are still in the bonding stage should I wait before introducing them until they are bonded ? I read online to keep
them separated until they are bonded to you, it helps them to be less stressed and to trust you more. I wasn't sure what to do
being a newbie. I haven't joined them together yet because
I wanted to make sure I am doing it correctly.

Thank you !

Yes, keep adding a glider. If one gets aggressive, take the aggressor out and try a different glider.

Once you have the ones introduced and they start sleeping in one pouch, start swapping pouches with the aggressor for a week or two and then try again.

With yours all living alone they will probably be happy to have buds.

I would have multiple wheels in the cage so you don't get fighting over the wheels.

You can start introducing them now, sometimes having a buddy helps a timid glider with bonding to their human.
