No long story for tonight, just that I'd share something that totally cracked me up. As I walked in to the room, I asked: "How are you tonight Thing 1, Thing 2, Thing 3, & Thing 4?"

Three of them come jump to the cage door as I'm speaking & make some popping noises... proving they'll answer to almost anything if they believe they will get a treat out of it.

Gwynevere, on the other hand... From her, I get a chirp, tssk, half a bark, & she goes to the wheel. Maybe I need to stick to fluff-butt for Gwyn?

Turns out Merlin does not appreciate being laughed at...

he was hanging by his back paws while stretching his front limbs as far as they could reach. He did this for almost a minute while rocking (swinging?) back & forth.

I couldn't help it, it looked so silly, I started to chuckle... loudly. He looked my way, pulled himself back up, jumped to a pouch, & crawled in. Melin then stuck his head back out with 'a look' my way before ducking back inside.

I think he's the only glider o'mine beside Gwynevere that has pulled off looking offended so well.

I did get to spend a lot of pouch time with them on my sleeping on my chest while I read. Gwyn even stuck her head out & allowed me to pet her quite a while before going back to sleep. The others would poke their noses out every so often for a sniff & then be satisfied.

They did insist on sharing a part of my dinner, so I gave them a few of my blueberries before they'd go back to sleep. Arthur tried to lick my fingers clean, but he leaves them wet (his licks seem more dog-lick than the other three).

It was a nice evening. I needed some glider-loving after being gone a few days & then having a bad work-day. From my four furballs of sanity & myself, goodnight.

Cuteness Unbound.

It was getting late, so I figured I wouldn't have much time before they started to stir for the night. Still, I wanted some pouch-cuddle time after how today went. So, around 2000h when I got home, I pulled them from the cage, plopped them on to my lap, slipped a hand in hoping it wasn't so close to their wake-up time that they'd decide to come out & play...

& they proceeded to wrap themselves around my hand & go back to sleep! YAY!

After an hour-ish, they began to stir again. Normally this is where I would just put them back to finish waking up, but I wanted just a few more minutes if I could get them. So, as Gwynevere & Morgana stuck their heads out, I began to lightly scratch their heads & behind the available ears. It was impossibly cute, but they both pancaked themselves on the back of the hand that was still in the pouch with the boys wrapped around it, Morgana tucked her nose under Gwyn's cheek, & they both got this dreamy eyes-half-open look of contentment as I gave them pets, 20-ish seconds for one, then the other, & back. This probably lasted another 15 minutes, maybe a bit more!!

The only 'disturbances' were Merlin trying to clean under my nail with his teeth (I finally put that finger under his belly to keep it safe), & Gwyn kept grabbing any glider tail that came near (including hers!) in her mouth & holding on to it. Not grooming, not chewing or being aggressive, no bickering... she'd just stretch out her neck, snag it, pull it back... & sit there with the tip of a tail in her mouth. Silly fuzzbutt.

You are so lucky!!! I get minimal opportunities to have snuggle or even just petting time with my gliders, and then it's only the girls that allowing. Ollie will run away. There are moments though, where I could swear the girls secretly love me petting them for a few seconds or several even, but they'll never admit to it.

It's been a long road to get this far with them. With the boys these days, if I give them a treat, they'll let me pet them the whole time they snack instead of stopping to move out of range. Morgana is still hit & miss, but if I am very light with the petting, Gwyn will let me go on a while. They like it no matter what they 'tell' you, just keep it up wink

It has been a challenge to find the time to have pouch-time, but is paying off big time with evenings like that! heart

How to know when you haven't changed the cage layout recently...

They're bored enough that they're working together to open the door >.<

Your fluffbutts are so cute, Hutch. The original pics with their tails all wrapped around each other are precious. Forgot what a wide array of colors you have - they look like suggie toner running out. XD Aww what a sweet story. I love how Gwyn holds her tail. Fevy likes holding his tail when he sleeps too for some odd reason, like a teddy bear. Your little ones sound so snuggly. It's awesome how you're able to wrangle them all and give them cuddle time. Hutch, the suggie tamer!

Sorry I haven't been on much. Lots of travel, crazy work between trips, laptop was taken out by an Irma power-surge (My timing is excellent -.- )

One more trip (& a laptop to repair), & I should be back here regularly! smile

Fuzzies are doing well. Gwyn has been quite clingy, but I suspect it has to do with the amount of time I've been away. Even Arthur keeps grabbing my hand with I offer a treat & not wanting to let go. Trying to give them plenty of pouch-cuddle-time when I'm home to make up for it.

Hope everyone is well!

Hey all, thank you for the concern! Good news, I have my laptop back; no more iPhone typing!

Not deployed (this time). I took some leave to go see a friend in Florida... & this nature something named Irma decided to show up in the middle of it all. RUDE!!! She even canceled the concert to which I was going to treat a wonderful young lady. Also, a power spike at my B&B meant my laptop required $500 in repairs. Best laid plans of mice & men :-/

On my last trip for a while & picked by my fixed laptop from the Apple store today. Hope to be on a little more regularly moving forward, but not too much to report until I get back to my four little loves.

Hope all of you're & yours are well.

Disaster just follows me... Went to visit mother in northern CA & spent half of the visit avoiding hazardous air qualities >.< Just my luck. Going to visit sister in HI for Christmas, just so anyone making plans has fair warning to avoid the islands. My current luck will mean an eruption or tsunami, I'm sure.

For now, though, back home & have my furballs back. Arthur was indifferent (why you wake me?), Merlin was being very shy (ahhh! Hoo-man!), Morgana kept stirring to taste me (are you real?), & Gwynevere kept grabbing my fingers or sticking her head out if I managed to remove my hand (you're not leaving me again!). Overall, feeling missed, but I'm sure tomorrow they'll remember to be upset that I left them again, hehehe.

:funny: I hope HI waits till you've been there! Lol! So glad you're safe and back home with the furbutts. Please give them each a treat and scratch from all of us!

Yeah, they'll go back to their normal selves soon.

Will be great to hear about your glider reunion adventure!

Glad you are home safe. At least your time in CA was only spent avoiding "hazardous air qualities" and not running from the actual fires. How horrible for so many people.

Christmas in HI - Well, I'm sure it will uneventful for any major disaster. We will certainly be praying it will be agree
