frown I belong to a number of pet sites. I was perusing one yesterday and saw a person asking for a glider. The person only wanted one.
Someone offered her a pair of babies and another person also replied saying she was going to get some. Her next question floored me when she asked how many she could expect in a litter! And neither the person searching for a glider or the responder had a clue.
They thought they were "cute" but appeared to have not bothered to do any research. I think I said "do your research" since we are not allowed to respond unless it is with a pet the person is looking for or a pet we have looking for a home-that kind of thing.
I know it is a small thing but I just don't understand. I studied a long time before I committed to my gliders frown
I worry for all the little gliders out there that end up in bad situations!

It is impossible to eliminate the human factor in poor decision making, unfortunately.

All we can do is try to educate people. That is why I adopt the rescues out neutered and with a non-breeding contract for the females.

Hutch and Feather are both right.

All that can be done is educate. Usually by the time a person starts asking questions online about gliders, their mind is made up to have one whether they have done enough research or not.

I avoid sights like that. The admins have the right to set the rules the way they want. Right or wrong... I have left many groups because of that.

sometimes what is needed it good owners, rather then bad owners. people can have all the research, but if they are bad owners it won't matter.

My wife walked in the house with a glider, something I have never seen or knew about in my life. We had to start doing research, learn, ask questions. We got a second glider right away. we now provide a good diet, large cage, glider room for playtime, and have a great local vet.
So hopefully this person will do the same and do what is right for their pet.

"The good pet owner and bad pet owner". The perfect statement!

Hopefully they will continue to research smile
