Hi Guys!
So real quick summary! I have 4 sugar Gliders! Ellie and Stitch whom are 4.5 years and 4 years and Marlo and Lily whom both will be 4 on September 5th. Ive had Ellie and stitch since they were joeys and just rescued Marlo and Lily on the 25th of August! All four are going to the vet Sept. 5th for wellness exams and fecal exams! Marlo and Lily need a diet lolol Right now I have the pairs separated, but have the cages facing each other but far enough apart that they cant tail grab but can smell and interact with each other still.

The first day, I let Marlo and lily just adjust to their new environment because they are brand new to the family. they were sniffing around and very curious. I did have to put them in my Original Kids spare cage, so it smells like my original kids, but I put in some of their pouches so they had some comfort.

Today I swapped their cages. Ellie and Stitch immediately started smelling everywhere and "looking" for the new kids. Ellie even started scent marking and rubbing things. Ellie and Stitch both didn't mind going straight into the pouches the new kids were in. Marlo and Lily, went into the Original Kids Cage and immediately started smelling. They both went into the Original kids hammock and went right to sleep. so I don't think they mind the different scents.

So far Ellie seems like she will not be accepting of the new kids, Marlo seems to want to meet Ellie and Stitch but Lily and Ellie seem to want nothing to do with anything new! But I know its too early to tell anything.

Im going to continue pouch and cage swapping and wait a month for introductions in the bathtub.

I have a feeling the Marlo and Stitch will get along fine, and that Marlo, Stitch and Ellie will probably end up bonding together first and itll be really up to the females as to whether or not they become a colony of 4. I do hope they will al come together and am prepared to try for the long run. Hopefully I wont end up with one glider by herself. ( meaning I could see Marlo, Lily and Stitch being fine, im just worried about my little girl Ellie)

[b]Has anyone introduced older gliders to each other?
Im hoping since they are all around the same age they'll be more likely to get along. But I also know sometimes older gliders wont accept new gliders.

any tips? I read the Introduction forum which was great. Just wondering about anything else.

As for the bonding process with Lily and Marlo, they are doing amazing already! I can walk around with them on me, and Marlo has learned to hide in my hair when he is scared! Lily is a little crabby but she still will hang out on me and my Bf.

Will be keeping updates on the process! Thank for joining us on our journey if you decide to follow

oh and below is a picture of the kiddos and their cage! Marlo is up top near my BF elbow in the picture. Do you guys think he is a whitefaced blonde too? just wondering bc his previous owner was told hes a standard but he looks just like Ellie so that's why im wondering!

Okay that's all^^

Keep pouch swapping. Take them out for playtime and see if the more passive gliders get along.

Definitely introductions in a confined controllable space and do them in the mid to late morning when they are already tired.

While they may not all get along if you get a threesome and the fourth will not join you can probably restore the original pairs without too much trouble. I got lucky/unlucky and my gliders bonded with each other over frustrating me. They were all still young though.

When you introduce them introduce the one that you think will get along first. Then introduce the next one. Make sure you do it in the morning when they want to sleep.
