Hello everybody,

Since I'll be working from home for the forseeable, I thought i'd spruce up my office (where we keep our Gliders) with some new houseplants. All the plants are well away from the Cage, but i'm not sure how safe the plants are for the gliders, if they do get in/around the plants, and I feel bad about not having checked beforehand

The plants I have are: one Yucca, one Moses-in-the-cradle, one Basil plant, and one Dieffenbachia. If anyone could give advice on whether any of them should definitely be removed from the room, which I should be careful with, and also what plants I should consider getting in future for the room it'd be much appreciated

Hi! And welcome to GC wave

Let me find the link and I'll be right back.

Do you plan on having them loose in the room in the room in the near future?

We generally do let them out every so often, Sebastian likes to accompany me while i'm working and perches on my shoulder or sits in a bonding pouch while i'm sat at my desk

Ok, here's the list and the level of toxicity.

http://www.glidernursery.com/upload..._sugar_glider_plant-tree_information.htm

It's a bit complicated, and I'm still reading I haven't found Moses in the cradle yet, but yucca and basil are ok, defenbacia not good.

I've had a look, and I want to call moses-in-the-cradle unsafe, as it's closely related to the Wandering-Jew plant (tradescantia), which is in the Dermatitis bracket

Moses in the Cradle plants are poisonous house plants with a #3 toxicity level.

You are correct. It is not safe.
