Just wondering what kind of licky treats are best. I’ve changed to BML and throw out all old food and treats. Now I really don’t know what to give my little guys. Need some idea for tent time treats & licky treats. dunno

When feeding the BML diet plan it is suggested that for treats you offer the foods you would feed that night. You can use BML as a licky treat and for snacks during tent time you can offer some small fruit pieces. And lets not forget mealies...these are a great treat for most gliders.

Remember to take all snacks you offered into account when you are dishing out dinner at night wink

Applesauce and yogurt make great licky treats! Be sure to keep dipping your finger in the treat before the glider licks it all off, otherwise the glider will bite your finger when the treat is all gone.

Hope this helps.

Yogurt is a great choice and according to my vet it goes well with the bml diet. Gliders love it to. One thing is you should spoon out a little to put your finger in instead of the container as you can get bacteria in the container from sticking your fingers back in. I also have yogurt drops and they of course only get their mealies as a hand fed treat.

Be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

If using yogurt as a licky treat make sure that it contains no aspartame or artificial sweetners, also steer clear of chocolate flavour. thumb
