Before you look at these pictures...

These are pictures of a really tiny wee one that unfortunatly did not make it to his/her destination. (Mommys pouch)

A little over a year ago, a member from this board...Mare, brought me a just born little one that had not made it into pouch and perished, because she knew Id be interested in studying it. (Thank you!) It was somewhat dehydrated so I rehydrated it in a saline solution.

It is very interesting... The beginnings of a Glider. So amazing and miraculous.
The first picture Ive attached labels the features, not the clearest pic in the world.

The next pic I will attach shows the size....

Now that is very interesting. Sad that the poor little thing didnt make it but with mishaps such as this is the way we learn. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.

Hope, that is amazing... Being one of those people that have never seen a baby at that stage, I had no idea what they would look like.

I'm sorry the 'little one' didn't make it to it's destination a year ago, unfortunately that's a part of nature.

Thank you for sharing your photos with us...

It is no wonder so many people are "surprised" to find they have a pregnant glider...

Wow! Marsupials are truly incredible creatures. That any baby makes it into the pouch is amazing to me.

Thanks guys! I was hoping you guys might find it interesting. (I sure thought it was!)

Sil, at that stage, no, you cant tell by physically looking what sex its going to be.

Their so so tiny! I just think its so amazing that they make that journey into the pouch the way they do! (something else I thought was interesting, is that their shoulder blades are connected/joined together at this stage, once they start developing in pouch and their legs and arms start forming, the bones of the shoulder split apart and form the shoulder blades.)

Like everyone else has already said, Thanks for sharing!

However that is amazing, their shoulder blades are joined. WOW, never knew that, and I surely didn't know they babies we no bigger than a grain of rice. Truly interesting, Thanks again!
