LOL thats a look at native wild & free <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/littleglider.gif" alt="" />'s & I realize it's kind of yucky to a few, but learning is just so valuable - I also see bees as well as flies.
Just thought this might be interesting to a few who like to see Australian <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/littleglider.gif" alt="" />'s in their true native environment.

How cool! I can see the bugs (?, mine always ate the flies they managed to find...) but I also can see shadows of the gliders and every now and then a clear shot of one...most "sightings" are ghost-like, and shady looking...but it's still neato!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumb.gif" alt="" />

nice one pockets! i caught a few glimpses of a glider. thanks for the link. from looking at the abundance of insects, look at the posibilities that gliders consume far more insects (protein sources) than we provide.

I received an email from the Gould League Communications Manager, who thought several here may be interested to know that they (Gould League) have observed interesting behaviour with the bees seen in the sugar glider nestbox. The bees (unfortunately European honey bees) enter the box and climb over the gliders - the bees don't sting but simply irritate the gliders. The gliders then move out and the bees take over - very annoying but interesting.

Tom hi - I certainly will relay your suggestion to them - Thank you!
I have read about bees taking over many nest box sites in Oz, even with the much larger glider species (Greater Glider's) also with the Ringtails & Brushtail possums. Will post more info ASAP

Hi Judie <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/heartpump.gif" alt="" /> Could no-longer keep them to myself (lol) & just figured so many here would enjoy the opportunity to see <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/littleglider.gif" alt="" />'s in their native environment (well in their nestbox) lol <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />
(Did everyone notice the white-tipped tail in the video clip - exploring) In Oz many many <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/littleglider.gif" alt="" />'s have white-tipped tails

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yelclap.gif" alt="" /> I have been observing (2) very beautiful <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/littleglider.gif" alt="" />'s playing in their eucalyptus nest for aprox an hour - appears to be a male & female & they have just left their nestbox for another adventure <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumb.gif" alt="" />

Don't feel bad, Puppyscruff. I have yet to see a glider and have been visiting the site almost daily. Guess I'm just not hitting the wee ones' schedule! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />
Pockets - thanks ever so for posting the link! It's incredible that such a cam be placed in the wild- it's great! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />
