Before retireing for bed I always check my glider room to make sure all is well. When I opened the door I could hear my gliders chippering away as they were still eating. I fliped on the light and as I surveyed the room all appeared to be fine. About to leave the room I stoped first to check on two families who just had little ones come oop. 2 days prior. When I checked on Snickers and YumYum they were snuggled in their pouch. I glanced at the food dishes and was horrified. Inside the dish was a new baby who had fallen into the small dish of the Leadbeaters. The little one was on its side and just laying there. As I picked the baby out it was moving but was cold. I quickly took her to the kitchen and rinsed her off with warm water and then dried her off with a towel. Oh, she was so cold. I returned her to the parents in their pouch and noticed Mom had Leadbeaters splattered on her face. She had apparently been trying to get the baby out but it was so slippery that her attempts had failed. If the dish of Leadbeaters had been just a teaspoonful more the little girl would have drowned. Her little nose was barely out of the mix and had I not checked to see all was well the baby would have eventually drowned or would have died from being too cold.

Someone from above was watching over her. I wonder if it could have been my Lil Gremlin.

tp

Wow, she was very lucky. I'm glad you came in to check on them. That's something I'm goin to definity do when my babies are born, expecting 4 soon. I usually check my 8 before going to bed after I play with them. I'm glad you found her. []http://www.sugarglider.net/ubb/images/icons/grin.gif[/] Is she doing ok?
