He is almost TOO CUTE!! I love him to pieces and he's not even mine! LOL Congrats! I have to ask, will he be able to be with another glider due to him not having the eye? I'm wondering about it since in the wild and captivity, other gliders can harm the ones with "disabilities". Could this be a problem for him?

Thank you everyone! I am going to be keeping him with his mom(taking her out of the trio she is in) in a new cage. The vet said that we can neuter him at 16 weeks. That way he can always be with his mom. Sophie is my most bonded glider, and Rocco is just like her, he loves it when I take him out and is a big snuggle bug. So far no one in the cage treats him any different. He is in with Mom, Dad,his twin, and then Sadie and her 2 boys(his half brothers).

You could neuter all the males and keep them together as a colony. Having produced a joey with a birth defect, you might consider not letting them breed again, as both the mom and dad could carry a defective gene that could be passed down for generations.
It is sad to think of more joeys being born with only one eye for generations to come.
