Has anyone tried Exotic Nutrition's Glider Complete? I currently use BML. Here a link to see what it contains:http://www.exoticnutrition.com/Glider-Complete-analysis.htm
I am hesitant to purchase, it is only breeder approved. Thanks

Are you thinking of changing diets for a specific reason?
Are they eating their current diet ok?

Hopefully someone else whos had experience with the Exotic Nutrition diet will come along and offer info/advice.

I think one problem I'd have with it is that it's a mostly dry diet, and gliders aren't meant to eat a dry diet, they are sapsuckers and usually pierce tree branches to get to the insects and saps in the trees. They masticate their food which means they take and suck all the nutrients out of their food and spit out the rest, that's the little half moons of food you see laying around their food. IMO, you are already on the best glider diet, if she's eating it with little to no problem, I wouldn't recommend fixing what isn't broken!

I haven't tried it, so I can't comment on how well it works.

I do think that pre-packaged pelleted foods aren't as healthy... gliders are sap suckers and don't really have the teeth to chew up harder foods. They suck moisture and nutrients out of their food and spit out the dried, pulpy leftovers. Moist foods seem better suited towards their eating style.

I use Exotic Nutrition, Happy Glider, Zookeepers, and BML--whatever they will eat. I have 3 cages that really like Exotic Nutrition--one that likes Zookeepers, one that likes BML, and it's a toss up on Happy Glider, depending upon the flavor. Almost all my cages will eat chicken dices by Beechnut (only one will not). I envy folks whose gliders are BML pigs, but I'm stuck with 16 very picky eaters (well, 14--one cage will eat almost anything).

They get fresh fruit and veggies every night, and they gobble them up. I'm at the point that, if they'll eat it, I'll feed it--hard pellet or not.

I use(d) Exotic Nutrition's Premium diet (with euc) and added apple juice or water to it to soften up, and Whopper at a lot of it. The pellets expanded and three-quarters or more (I used a crock that was about an inch and a half in diameter) was gone in a night, in addition to the fruits. Of course, he preferred the fruits and veggies over the pellet food... He was picky too, so I also used the Insectivore Fare diet as well on a rotating basis.

I've used the Exotic Nutrition before while going through the trials of feeding picky eaters. What I did was soak it in apple juice, and add a few drops of honey. I fed it with the fruits and veggies. Only a couple of my guys would eat it and that was for a short period of time. Likewise with the Pet-Pro, which I also soaked before feeding. I found that while on the Exotic Nutrition diet, my guys tended to be somewhat constipated. They seemed to prefer it dry more than soaked, but I wasn't comfortable with feeding them a dry pelleted food. At any rate, like a lot of other things, they didn't eat it for very long!

AH, I'm glad someone made this thread, as I was going to do the same thing. I ordered this product yesterday, along with some Insective Fare and Sugar Glider diet with Eucalyptus. I've tried everything except the Glider complete, and I feed all the Exotic Nutrition products as supplements.

My gliders' diet:

Papaya, Oranges, Apples, Grapes
BML
Cilantro, Parsley, Carrots, Italian Parsley, Curley Parsley.
These are prepared every day.

Foods always in the cage are the Exotic Nutrition Products.

Anyway, it seems to me that the glider complete is only Premium Sugar Glider diet with dried bits of fruit in it. But, they advertised it so well, I'm hoping it will be more than that, and ordered it anyway.

I will like you know how it goes, what I think, and (more importantly) what the gliders think.

I haven't tried it, but would like to when I run out of my Insectivore Fare. I don't recommend using it as the only food source, but as a staple food for a snack during the day. I would continue using Priscilla Price's diet or BML, fruits, veggies, & insects and just add it as a staple food. Gliders need variety in their diet.

If that's a pic of it to the left with a variety of things but not mixed as a whole, I personally wouldn't think it'd be the best thing, maybe it'd be a good daytime snack food, but not a staple diet. With my Chinchillas I have noticed that if provided a mixed dry diet, they will pick out all the goodies and leave the healthy stuff behind. That diet has some good components to it i.e. Bee Pollen and probiotics, so it has it's good points and more than most dry foods I've seen, but if they eat their BML I'd personally only consider it as a supplement. Exotic Nutrition does have some good points to their products. My gliders loved the bugs and berries when I would add it to their fruit(yuk!) I also buy my acacia gum powder from there, and it is from the correct species of Acacia and the only place I have found the right powder for my gliders.

Acacia Mearnsii. It isn't white(clear when in gum form) like the acacia gum for food. It has the tannins that are, from what I've read, characteristic of the Mearnsii Gum versus Gum Arabic. Some of mine like it as gum most prefer it on fruit.
