On my last birthday, we discovered a sugar glider at the pet store. It was so cute, we just had to get. I didn't know anything about gliders, but we got a book and I learned all about them. However, he died... most likely due to lack of sufficient calcium.
So, I decided to get another one a little later. They are so irresistable! But this time, I got one from a breeder to ensure that it was in good health and such. She was really cute and playful and seemed like she had been taken much better care of than my first glider from the pet store. I named her Leeloo.
Anyways, a few days ago, I woke up to find her dead in the toilet. It is the most depressing thing ever... I had seen so many warnings about this and taken precautions... She was loose in my room and I think she crawled under the door and got out of my room... Every time I see her empty cage and untouched food dish from that night...
Basically, what I am trying to say from this uncomposed, nonsensical story is that you should be careful about doorways because your glider might be able to get under them.
I feel so dumb and empty inside and I don't know what to do...
If you can make any sense out of this story, please be careful about gliders getting under doors and drowning in the toilet.
