Now stitch does have diarrhea and the doc told me to stop giving him his medicine for now which I did. I also tried to feed him corn along with his food to harded his bm's but that hasnt worked. If you have some canned pumpkin, you can give him a little of that. Or you can give him ONE or TWO flakes of dry oatmeal - NO MORE THAN THAT!

You have gotten some great advice. You might also offer him a little raw apple. Sometimes the pectin helps firm their poops.

I'm so sorry to hear about what your little man is going through. I can't offer you any advice as far as the diarrhea but I just wanted to let you know that I'll be thinking about you two. Please keep us updated.

You could try giving a little yogurt with active cultures in it. It is very common with antibiotics like this to upset the natural flora of bacteria in the gut. Active live yogurt helps increase the good bacteria, and hopefully help with the diarrhea.

Poor little fellow! Make sure the oatmeal is not the instant kind. And avoid citrus and too many grapes, which can cause loose stools. You also want to make sure he's not dehydrated. Try the "tent test." Pinch the skin between the shoulder blades and pull it gently. If it stays tented, he's dehydrated. If so, give Pedialyte. Look for the version for rehydration (Pedialyte RS [rehydration solution]). It's a little higher in electrolyte content and will help get him back to normal more quickly. Also, if he is dehydrated, don't give Ensure (e.g., if he's on Darcy's diet).
