My glider is missing in action. He is somewhere in the garage but I can't get him to show himself. Even if I bang around the place, I can't get him to start Crabbing so I can find him. Besides leaving food in one place and waiting, does anybody know any tricks to find him? If the food goes untouched, how long should I let go by before I consider it hopeless?
thanks
Andy

Andy,
How long has he been missing, and how come he was in the garage?
They will hide in the darkest places.
Are you sure he did not crawl up inside the car to get warm?
Do you keep him in the garage?
Is there any chance that dogs and cats could get in there, or windows left open for him to get out of?
Maybe put the cage in the garage with lots of sweet-smelling foods in it and the pouch in easy access, when the []http://www.sugarglider.net/ubb/images/icons/blush.gif[/] gets hungry or cold it may come and find the cage and settle in.

I had a glider lost up under the dashboard of a car once, for about 13 hrs. Basically, the only way we could get her out (even though we'd had the whole dash apart) was to wait until about midnight (when she was awake and most active) and wait in the dark for her to come out and come to food. This was a glider who we had JUST picked up from the breeder so she was totally unbonded to us! Try going into the garage with a little pen light or a red light (red light doesn't seem to bother them) and wait for your glider to wake up and start exploring. Put out some food, and keep some food with you. As far as catching him, don't chase him!! This is something that is going to require ALOT of patience! Either wait for him to come to you or to go into the cage.
Anyway, good luck!!
