i am so excited i have two brand new joeys from tippy and lilly a white tipped male and standard grey female. i dont know if you would call them oop or ip they are still attached to the nipple but bodys hanging out, i have a normal grey boy and a white tipped girl so i have two questions. when you see the white tip is that how big the tip is going to be or does it get larger while they get fur because she is still pink with the dark spots like really really slick fur with white fur growing at the bottom? my second question is can if im seeing a lighter color almost blonde along her back does that mean she could be a different color? sorry if this makeso sense i am just so excited

all I know is if you see white that is how much white that little glider will have.... they are also considered Oop when they are no longer attached to the nipple...
congrats!! And pics asap! Please....

First of all, they're not officially out of pouch until they are detached from the teats. Since the whole bodies are hanging out, it should be within the next day or two that they will be completely oop.
The white fur at the tip of the tail does mean that one of the joeys is definitely a white-tip! Congrats! As for whether the amount of white fur at the tip will increase or not - on that one I'm not sure... Sorry...
The lighter color along her back is probably pouch staining from the mother's scent gland in her pouch. Only time will tell for sure, but usually pouch-staining is on the back/shoulder area and does go away within the first few weeks.

Usually the size of the tip will decrease when the fur fluffs.

Congrats on finding out your little girl has a white tip. Isn't it exciting? We need pictures, it's a must.

This is what I meant when I say the size decreases.

Here is a pic of my WF/WT when he was small: http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c163/LuckyYouGliders/Caspian%20and%20Madalyn/gliders201-23-0720004.jpg

And here it is now: http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c163/LuckyYouGliders/Caspian%20and%20Madalyn/2_13_07_007.jpg

Lynsie, I don't know about your boy, that looks so odd to me. All the white tips I have bought that had the size your boy has in the first picture, kept that full tip look. I have a little girl who had a few hairs when oop, but her brother had a full tip, his stayed full, and her's stayed just a few hairs. They Fu had one that wasn't as clear as yours, but more that a few hairs, and his has grown more noticiable with time. So with the 4 I have here, I'd say they stay the same or better. Maybe yours had a few hairs plucked or something. I don't know.

I can't wait to see him though, when are you getting him?
