Hi Folks,
My 1-yr old female's pouch looked a bit odd last evening. She was running around in her playroom and I picked her up and rubbed her belly and noticed that her pouch was sticking out of her belly. It looked like 2 vertical lips - puffy and sticking out - not sticky or oozing. I'm puzzled.
She was acting like her crazy self - no changes in behavior. I picked her up again about 20 min later and only a part of it was sticking out. Then an hour later, it looked fine. I took her out this morning before leaving for work and it still looked normal.
Any causes behind this?
Thanks for the help. -Matt

I haven't noticed her cleaning it excessively, unless she is doing it before we take her out in the early eve.
Thanks Matt

Hi, took Bailey to the vet and there is no sign of infection - everything checked out alright. The vet said it was most likely due to overgrooming. She is a lone glider and we are actively looking for a playmate near VA for her. In the meantime, what can we do? Help?! Thanks Matt

How can we introduce a new glider to her? Found a couple possibilities. I'm sure there are many posts about this, but if you could give me 5min of your time on this, I would REALLLLLLY appreciate it!
Thanks so much, Best, Matt
ps we are both teachers, so it's not feasible to keep her with us -- and...i'm a band director sooo it's not too quiet for her. :-)

Intros can take months or days first you would need 2 cages in the same room and then you would swap pouchs and toys to get use to each others scent and then you would take them out and do supervised play time in a tent or glider proof room if that is going well you could try to merge.

Here is a good thread to read that describes the difference between the two "accepted" methods of introducing gliders... HTH
