I am so sorry about Sneakers. Reading some of your old posts, Sneakers liked to explore.
I know you love your gliders, and I even though you have others, nothing can take the place of the one who is gone. I am grieving with you. Thanks for posting the story as a reminder to all of us to make SURE our gliders are not around those appliances and cords.
Please do not blame yourself. These critters get into things so fast....and we can't know everything, but just do the best we can.
I lost my first, wonderful glider a couple of months ago, and even though I have two wonderful []http://www.sugarglider.net/ubb/images/icons/blush.gif[/] now, I think about him every day.
I am so sorry.
------------------
Lucy

kb2e....
I am so sorry about Sneakers....
I never read this section of the board so I had no idea. It's so sad when someone has to post here, and the last couple I have read really tugged at my heart, so I thought it better not to read these.
My heart goes out to you, and if you need a friend, please know that I'll be here for you.
Mare []http://www.sugarglider.net/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif[/]
&
Setheme []http://www.sugarglider.net/ubb/images/icons/blush.gif[/]

kb2e,
I am afraid of this part of the board but SugarLove told me what happened and I just about freaked myself. I have a very hard time dealing with the death of any glider, even if it is someone else's since I lost my first lone glider that I had since a baby just this past November in 2000. []http://www.sugarglider.net/ubb/sad.gif[/] I am so sorry for this to have happened to you and I truly understand the pain of it! (I still have not buried my Arrow and can't seem to get myself past it!--he's still in the freezer wrapped up in a plastic bag......)I know I'm not doing a good job in facing it but although I've acquired some rescues and they've made me happy once again with the birth of their children and having gained their trust and love and bond, I will never again have one like my little Arrow.......
Again, I am so sorry for this. I will pray for you. Take care and if you need to talk, I'm here for you!!! :-l
Love, Tessa~~~~~~~~~ []http://www.sugarglider.net/ubb/heart.gif[/]

I want to ditto that. I am very much more aware of cords and appliances than I was before reading your post. Know that more gliders will live because of your courage in posting here.
------------------
Lucy

Kb2e, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you.
Mare, even though the stories tug at your heart, what better way to gain knowledge than reading about what happened to someone else? Yes they are very sad stories that need to be told with the purpose of informing someone else so that they don't experience the same devastation. I had to post a story here and was glad that someone else said they were glad I did. Okay, getting down off this box now....

I have to admit, I'm not dealing well with this. I have never had anything hurt this much. It's incredible how much you can love such a small animal. Even thinking of Sneakers, brings tearsto my eyes and I am unable to speak to people about it without breaking down. As I write this tears runn down my face. I miss her.

Kb2e, I am really sorry. I wish I was close enough to give you a big hug. I went through losing one of my babies not too long ago so I know how you feel. I just wished there was a way to make your grieving easier. I will say an extra prayer for you.

I share tears with you....really....I understand your pain, and im sooo sorry. I know how awful it is to lose a loved one,be it animal or human. Sometimes the pain is no different. I lost a much beloved pet last september 25,and still i cannot talk about him without breaking down. (thats like 6 mnths ago) It is hard,I understand. I wish there was something i could say to you that would make your pain all go away, but theres not and I know that. Im sorry. Just know that there are others (like me) that can totally understand what your feeling and going through, and Im here to listen to every word you have to say,so are alot of the wonderful people on this board.. If you ever want to talk about Anything feel free to email me,Im here with ears open to cry with you, or laugh with you, or whatever it be. Please take care of yourself, and grieve however you need to. (im sorry)
