hello all, I've been here a while, posting now and then, but never getting personal or telling much about myself. I'm 26, recently married, and own my home. I grew up in Elkhart Indiana (as did some of you I hear), but moved out my freshman year at Purdue. I have a pair of gliders, Hatchet and Tinder (unique names, had to be different). I'm currently remodeling my living room and have been living out of my dining room since the walls, floors, stairs, and electrical has been stripped to the bone. You know whats on their minds "If you hit dad in the face i will give you my mealies" LOL That's probably true. I've had one catch me on the lip one time; my wife also had a nice scratch on her cheekbone. That had to be worth at least a few mealies.

Oh my, those gliding pics rock! How do you get such good ones?? I can never seem to get the timing juuuuust right... It's an HP camera. I don't know how the all work, but when you press the shutter button down half way, the camera focuses and charges the flash. I focus the camera on the person (or glider target), and the flash charges. This way, there isn't such a LOOOOOOOng delay while the glider is gliding. Keeping the shutter halfway down, you can pan the camera over to the space between you and the glider. Once you see the glider "hunker down" like their about to jump, prepare yourself; I try to press the shutter down as soon as they jump. Because of the delay, I have had a good success rate of gettimg them mid-air. Account for this delay by thinking about taking the picture *just* as they begin to take off. The rest will happen on it's own.

They look so little. How old are they? They are between 6-7 months, maybe older. I believe Tinder was OOP in October, I'm not quite sure about Hatchet (the male). If you're comparing the size relative to me, I'm 6'4" 200lbs, so they may look smaller on my arms & shoulders. But otherwise, they weigh and appear healthy and normal to me

Hmm what if we have a "put a pic of yourself in your avatar week?" that way, we can SEE who is responding to us.. Just for a little while, then we can go back to showing off our fur children>?
Just a thought. my plan here was to get JUST a bunch of pics, kinda like a catalog of everyones portraits.. i am happy it is such a FUN post for everyone, but now i jsut CANT go through all of it and look at everyone.. I think we should ALL pu ONE pic of ourself as an avatar and ONE in our gallery, just so we all can see what we all look like.
