I use a lot of thread for a craft that I make and have a LOT of plastic thread spool left at the end of a project. When my kids were babies, I would string them together and the kids would play with them for hours. Can anyone see any reason not to give this same toy to my glider babies? It would make a great hanging toy for them, and I think they would enjoy it. Thanks for your time.

if you want to try this, i would highly recommend you use it with supervision. that way, if your babies run into any problems with it (like getting caught in the thread, for example) you will be nearby to bail them out. just my thoughts. [/]

What a good idea <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinkerg.gif" alt="" /> - unless your suggies chew a lot I would think this would be a good toy. BTW - my people babies loved these toys also <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />!

Plastic spools are one of my kids favorite toys...they have this obsession with the holes in them <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. I have alot of empty spools since I sew constantly, and I make them into dangling toys.

Thanks for the opinions, everyone. I haven't been on here for several days and it was good to see several replies to my post. I think I'll use hemp to string them together... it's strong, durable, all natural, and I don't think there's anything in it to hurt the gliders. It didn't hurt my human babies. lol
