We're probably going to get a reptarium, but I was wondering about how big it is when it is all taken apart. Like could you put all the piping in a bag and then roll up the mesh and put it in a bag that is something like what a camping tent comes in. What would be the absolute largest rept it would be practical to travel with? We are going to see my parents at Christmas time (driving) and would obviously need to bring a cage for our baby. Ideally I would like to just break down the rept we'll keep her in regularly and take it with us. Would that be practical??

Most reptariums break down and would fit in a tent bag or one of those folding chair bags. It would depend on the size. We use a 38 gallon for traveling, but usually we are never gone more than two nights. It is 16.5"x16.5"x30" and we have two gliders in it. For a longer period of time you might want to go to the next size up, a 65 gallon; its 16.5"x28"x30".

When you're talking about space when traveling, we always bring a wheel, toys, pouches, a small travel cage and food.

(I tried setting up the reptarium in the back seat of the car and putting a seat belt around it -- it wasn't level, but it "sort of" worked.)
