Someone said their gliders loved playing wit feathers so I bought some today. I got the natural ones so there were no dangerous dyes or anything, but do I need to wash them first?

We clean ours periodically-no soap, usually just a good rinse with warm water and set out to dry flat somewhere.

I have never washed mine before use, and honestly, after play there really isn't much left to wash. I just buy them cheap and in bulk, that way I can throw them away.

[:"blue"] Your parrot could possibly have external parasites that might be transferred to the gliders. Probably not a big risk; but I would avoid it unless you have some way of sanitizing them first. [/]
