I take mine everywhere with me. sometimes I keep them in a larger pouch I made in my purse. I do this and put 2 or so wash cloths in there for them to snuggle in. In my weekend job I work at a store and they check my purse before I leave so I have to hide the in my clothes without anyone seeine a bulge or they will think I am stealing. I usually wear a loose thin cotton sports bra ( the kind W/ spaghetti straps) and I buy a size that is a little loose. Then I put my babyes in a pouch and they cuddle together and I put that pouch in the sports bra on my left side so its kinda on my ribs under my arm, but I can still put my arm down and move. And with a sweater or jacket over it noone can see it there at all. When I take them to school I keep them in the bigger pouch in my purse then when I sit in class I just put the pouch on my lap and put my sweater over it so it looks like I just have my sweater on my lap. so far noones noticed. Well maybe someone else will come along and have some good ideas too. But I take mine absolutely everywhere and they are just as friendly as can be.

I take my Gizzy to work so far everyday. I do the pouch on the lap thing too. Only a couple people even know I have him here. He is the best pet I've ever had. I've already decided that if he crabs I'll say "Wow I sure am hungry did you hear my stomach?" The barking not sure how to play that off yet Seeing as how I work in a medical clinic I may get diagnosed with some psycic disorder

I've recently turned my kiddos into bra babies and you can't tell they're there! I wear a bra and then a tank top with a built in shelf bra and they snuggle up and pass out . I think they actually like being bra babies better than staying in a bonding pouch because it's warm

I take Monster everywhere as well, I can't bear to leave her at home! Sure, sometimes when I'm in a store, I feel like I'm being watched. But who cares, let them accuse me of stealing! Can you imagine how apoligetic they'd be when they saw that cute little face?

I'm really nervous about taking mine to class. Mine tends to be active throughout the day, so I would be nervous that he would climb out and be sitting on my shoulder without me even noticing. I don't think my professors would be very happy if he started crabbing either...they get mad enough about ceel phones.

Add a zipper to your pouch and keep a couple grapes in there, this keeps Monster perfectly content all day long!

I did make a pouch with a zipper, but my glider hates it...he doesn't like feeling enclosed like that, so he presses his nose against the zipper and I just feel so bad and let him out.

I take my three babies everywhere with me. Depending on how active they are in the morning when I leave for work, they may or may not all start out in my bra. (It does get kind of tight in there, but they don't mind.) I also have a zippered pouch with a window. That's where they'll hang out if I'm in a meeting. I'll put the pouch on my chair in my office and close the door. When I'm out and about running errands or doing other things, they'll either be in my bra or their pouch in my purse.
Usually they're very quiet, just sleeping. One time someone crabbed while I was meeting in my office. Since the other person didn't know what to think, she didn't say anything, and I acted as though nothing had happened.

Jasperrrrr,
I just read in another post that you are in Southern California. Since they are illegal in CA I would strongly recommend you NOT taking them out in public!!!! I understand the huge population in CA makes you feel a bit more secure that you won't be caught but what IF you do?????? Are you really prepared to have your baby killed just so you can take them out with you?

I take mine to skool work, every where... The trick is a smaller pouch, or bra train them. KIkioh will just sleep all day in my sports bra, no pouch. Kagurah goes in a pouch in the sports bra bc she is more active. I hide thim right in the middle. It would be rude for someone to ask there. (I have heard horror stories about people leaving gliders in purses in bathrooms or cars by accadent, I wouldn't do it!!!)

Was coming to make the same post that Dancing did, but I see you beat me to it!
I will still post to say that I second what Dancing said... since you live in California... DO NOT take your gliders in public!!! You are taking a big enough risk by having them. Please don't put them in even more danger by taking them in public.

milkdudmuffin- if you want to take them to school this is what I do. I do take them to school..the key is KEEP THEM ON A SCHEDULE! Oscar will be asleep when I get up at 6 am and I usually get a drink and go back to sleep till 730 or so, and when he hears my alarm go off he is up running, knowing he is about to have to go to bed. So I let the alarm go off, turn on the light and this signals to him he has about 20 min while I get ready to run in his cage, which he does and get a drink/ snack. Then I let his cage door open and he hops on my shoulder and the bed, I catch him and he knows when I do he always goes to sleep and I put him in the bag. He's asleep within 5 min and when I check on him he crabs at me to leave him sleep and tries to burry deeper under his blanket. So make sure you get them up to play at the same time each night and wake up and expect them to go to sleep at the same time every morn and if they have a schedule to expect they will get used to it and calm down. Sometimes If I have to get up earlier I wake them up 1 hr earlier to play at night so they are asleep 1 hr earlier in the morn. Hope that can work for you!

I can only take my gliders places after 4 pm. They are daytime gliders (which stinks because I'm more noctournal than they are ).

My son won't take his to school. He says that kids overall are mean, and that they can't be trusted -- that someone would intentionally bump into them just to raise a ruckus. Although we're in a small school, he's not in an "in" crowd, and is afraid of what the other kids would do. For those that do take them to high school -- do you get permission? or do you just assume that it won't be a problem? My gliders are still bonding and have a long ways to go before they'll be ready to travel. ~Lynn

Well there are mean kids im my school and my school's pretty big i doubt it would be a problem for me to trake them since i know the pricnable pretty well. You may want to ask just in case i know that some schoold have point systems and there may be a rule about not bringing pets without permission from and administrater i thank there a rule like that at our school.

I go to a small private school where there wouldn't be too much of a problem. I'll probably just bring him in his pouch and keep it in my shirt, like around my neck. I'm excited for Peo's first day of school...

You've gotten some good advice here. Please be aware that there are stories of gliders having bitten people at schools. When that happens, the glider has to be put down to be investigated for rabies. In many places that is law. Since you already live in an illegal state, let me emphasize what's already been said -- please don't take them out in public.

Chaser, a while back, I saw that your mom had a new bag that was large and had wood handles with a brass lock type thing, but I can't find it on her site. Did she stop making them?
