Get them near street lights. =P I would look up something like "toxins in junebugs" somewhere.. I have heard that gliders can eat beatles, but junebugs sounds different. I haven't a clue.

I feed June Bugs but I live in the country where no spraying of any kind goes on. I feed them alive my gliders love to catch them and eat their bellies.

They spray here cause the river runs right through town and we have lots of skeeters. Any other suggestions?
Come to think of it.....I haven't ever seen a june bug here. Wonder if they live here?

Oh, well that wouldn't be good! It says they are more north and up into canada kinda bugs so they should be there. Might not be warm enough though. We are already getting some here.

I wouldn't mess with them - especially with the spray. Find a good cricket raiser - just as much fun! But make sure they aren't raised in corn meal (aflatoxins.)

Perhaps not raised in cornmeal, but the beetles are grown throughout their larval stage within soil (i.e. perfect medium for microbes, pesticides, fungi, etc). Plenty of folks here feed june beetles, but just know the risks! Wild gliders have been observed to consume a great quantity of beetles belonging to the same taxonimic family (i.e. scarab beetles) as june beetles. Mikey
