I am so sorry for your loss. Booth babies I think are when you buy your gliders from a breeder that puppy mills them. They sell them at a flea market (thats where I got mine, didnt know any better).

oh Suggies shouldn't be allowed to be sold at flea markets or pet stores in my opinion. I would go back to the people you got them from and let them know what happened, right in front of the whole place. Ask to see a USDA license too. I feel so bad for you, this is terrible.

Hah, yes, thank you Bourbon. An update: we buried our dearies in the front yard yesterday and put their ladder in the ground where they are. They are buried wrapped up in each other's arms, as they always were when they were scared.

Gertie, so sorry. Westgate is a great glider hospital and worth the drive. If you decide that you can risk your heart w/gliders again, there are some good breeders in your part of Texas. Working with one of them would help ensure healthy joeys for you. The pet stores there (especially Herpeton) don't give them the best start.

We didn't buy from herpeton; I'm glad we didn't. We adopted our gliders from a college student whose schedule was too busy for them. But thanks for the advice- there are a few exotic vets in Austin, but Westgate seems to be the most advisable one. I'm sure we'll eventually get more, but first we have to get past the loss of T&J, and make it through this wedding. We're both doing much better today;yesterday we sat on the couch crying and eating junk food and watching bad movies. Best way to recover.

Gertie, I'm so sorry your wee ones didn't make it. They knew they were loved while in your care, and fought hard to stay with you, just as you did everything in your power to save their lives. Before your marriage, and you've already gone through "in sickness..." with your two glider children. Blessings to you both.

I'm very sorry. It makes me want to cry! But they aren't in pain any more and they are in a better place. My Prayers with you!
